Very predictable result when sixth ranked Ford Burgos (15-9) defeated at home 17th ranked CB Granada (6-18) 89-76 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 46-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of British-American forward Darren Phillip (201-78, college: Fairfield) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Jerome Tillman (198-87, college: Ohio) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ford Burgos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Navarra. CB Granada lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 18 games lost. Ford Burgos will face Melilla Baloncesto (#6) on the road in the next round. CB Granada will play against the league's second-placed Menorca Basquet (#2) in Mahon and be promoted back to the ACB just one year after relegation.
