Regular Season Round 31: Laurentian - RMC 100-42

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked RMC (0-21) was outscored by fifth ranked Voyageurs (10-11) in Sudbury, ON 100-42 on Friday. The game without a history. Voyageurs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 6 points in first quarter. Voyageurs dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to RMC's 28. Voyageurs forced 33 RMC turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a very good performance for guard Manny Pasquale (183) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!) (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Nelson Yengue contributed with 10 points for the winners. Four Voyageurs players scored in double figures. Voyageurs' coach Shawn Swords felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alexandre Lavoie answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Connor Duke (191) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for RMC. Voyageurs moved-up to fourth place. RMC lost their twentieth first game in a row. They still closes the standings with 21 games lost. Voyageurs will face Golden Gaels (#7) in Kingston, ON in the next round. RMC will play on the road against Lions in Toronto, ON and hopes to get finally their first victory.
