Rather expected game in Santiado Estero where 12th ranked Wuber-Est.Bahia (9-14) was defeated by tenth ranked Quimsa (12-12) 81-71 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-71. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Sebastian Vega (200-88) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Diego Lo Grippo (198-78) chipped in 19 points. Puerto Rican power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Jerome Meyinsse (206-88, college: Virginia) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Quimsa moved-up to eighth place. Wuber-Est.Bahia lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Quimsa will face league's second-placed Penarol in Mar del Plata in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
