Regular Season Round 28: Acadia - UPEI 92-62

Date: February 17, 2012
Everything went according to plan in Wolfville where first ranked Acadia (14-2) outscored 8th ranked UPEI (2-16) 92-62 on Friday. The game without a history. Acadia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 UPEI turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kristy Moore (170) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Stefanie Chapman (157) who added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Acadia players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Jenna Jones (173) responded with 16 points and guard Amy Gough (178) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Acadia maintains first position with 14-2 record. UPEI lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost. Acadia will face again UPEI (#8) in Charlottetown in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
