Regular Season Round 18: Haga Haninge - Uppsala KFUM 82-87

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (6-12) beat on the road 7th ranked Haga Haninge (9-9) 87-82 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-82. KFUM Uppsala outrebounded Haga Haninge 38-26 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Haga Haninge was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Odin Lindell (203-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Axel Nordstrom (192-91) contributed with 27 points and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Tomas Oberg (183-82) replied with 24 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Joakim Forsman (198-83) added 16 points in the effort for Haga Haninge. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KFUM Uppsala maintains tenth position in North with 6-12 record. Loser Haga Haninge dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face Eskilstuna (#11) on the road in the next round. Haga Haninge will play against Orongo Dragons (#5) in Sundsvall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
