Regular Season Round 32: Ottawa - Toronto Univ. 85-92

There was a minor upset in Ottawa, ON where 3rd ranked Gee-Gees (13-9) were defeated by fifth ranked Blues (10-12) 92-85 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gee-Gees won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Blues dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gee-Gees' 32. Gee-Gees were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian forward Drazen Glisic (198) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Alex Hill (196, college: Cornell) who added 22 points during the contest. Guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (185) responded with 23 points and Michael L'Africain scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four Blues and five Gee-Gees players scored in double figures. Gee-Gees' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Blues maintains fifth position with 10-12 record. Gee-Gees at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
