Leader Okinawa GK delivered the twentieth sixth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Yokohama BC (16-16) 89-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yokohama BC. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Yokohama BC was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Guard Narito Namizato (175-89) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Okinawa GK's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Masayuki Kabaya (183-82) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Okinawa GK maintains first place with 26-7 record. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. Okinawa GK will face again Yokohama BC (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
