Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Doha: Al Rayyan (#1) and Al Ahli (#6). Al Ahli was defeated at home 64-72 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Rayyan forced 20 Al Ahli turnovers. The former international power forward Yasseen Ismail (204-80) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international Erfan Ali (198-83) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Nigerian center Augustine Okosun (210-86, college: Northwood, FL) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Cory Bradford (191-78, college: Illinois, agency: Edge Sports) scored 25 points and 4 assists. Al Rayyan (10-0) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Loser Al Ahli keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Jaysh.
