Regular Season Round 23: Samorin - MBK Ruzomb. 80-75

An interesting game for Samorin (13-7) which hosted in Samorin second-ranked MBK Ruzomberok (14-4). Third ranked Samorin managed to get a 5-point victory 80-75. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Samorin made 27-of-35 charity shots (77.1 percent) during the game. MBK Ruzomberok was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Timea Sujova (173-84) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. American power forward Teena Wickett (192-88, college: Texas Tech) helped adding 8 points and 16 rebounds. Swedish forward Kadidja Andersson (185-80, college: Minnesota) responded with 21 points and international power forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. Samorin have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-7 record having five points less than leader Good Angels. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Samorin will play against league's leader Good Angels in Kosice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBK Ruzomberok will play at home against Roznava in Roznava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
