Regular Season Round 20: UMKS Kielce - Handlopex AZS 81-61

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kielce. Second ranked UMKS Kielce faced 3rd ranked Handlopex AZS. Host UMKS Kielce (13-5) smashed guests from Rzeszow (11-7) 81-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Handlopex AZS. The game without a history. UMKS Kielce led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UMKS Kielce forced 20 Handlopex AZS turnovers and had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Artur Busz (194-88) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Piotr Mis (204-77) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Piotr Ucinek (196-80) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMKS Kielce maintains second position in Group C with 13-5 record having seven points less than leader Open Florentyna. Loser Handlopex AZS dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. UMKS Kielce will meet Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Handlopex AZS will play against UKS Siemaszka in Piekary and hope to secure a win.
