Regular Season Round 20: Pulaski Warka - MKS Limbach 70-78

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Pulaski Warka (4-15) was defeated at home by fifth ranked MKS Limbach (10-8) 78-70 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 17-7. But Pulaski Warka won second period 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MKS Limbach dominated on the defensive end, holding Pulaski Warka to just 7 points in first quarter. MKS Limbach forced 25 Pulaski Warka turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MKS Limbach made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Piotr Kwandrans (200-79) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). point guard Wojciech Rykala (180-76) chipped in 21 points. Guard Rafal Sobilo (188-89) produced 26 points and guard Pawel Adamczyk (186-84) added 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. MKS Limbach maintains fifth position in Group C with 10-8 record, which they share with Unia Tarnow. Pulaski Warka lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 15 games lost. MKS Limbach will face AZS II Polit.W-wa (#13) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pulaski Warka will play on the road against Rosa II Radom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
