The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Stingers' (12-2) home victory over second-ranked Redmen (8-6) 62-61 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 62-61. Stingers forced 22 Redmen turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Evens Laroche (193) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 12 rebounds and guard Decee Krah (180) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Nicolas Langley (197-92) responded with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Karim Sy-Morissette (193) scored 11 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stingers maintains first position with 12-2 record. Loser Redmen keeps the second place with six games lost. Stingers will face Rouge et Or (#5) in Quebec City, QC in the next round. Redmen will play on the road against Citadines in Montreal, QC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
