Tigers (8-10) outlasted Capers (11-8) in overtime by four points 86-82 on Saturday night. Capers were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 20-13 charge of Tigers, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-10. Tigers made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Capers were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Ritchie Kanza Mata who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and Cameroonian forward William Yengue (193) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and guard Al Alilovic (198) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Five Tigers and four Capers players scored in double figures. Tigers maintains sixth position with 8-10 record. Capers at the other side keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Tigers will face Varsity Reds (#7) in Fredericton, NB in the next round. Capers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Panthers in Charlottetown, PEI and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
