Regular Season Round 32: Laurentian - Queen's 83-74

Rather predictable result in Sudbury, ON where fourth ranked Voyageurs (11-11) defeated 7th ranked Golden Gaels (2-20) 83-74 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-17. But Golden Gaels won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Golden Gaels 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Manny Pasquale (183) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Isiah Pasquale (191) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Mackenzie Simpson responded with 19 points and forward Nikola Misljencevic (196) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Golden Gaels players scored in double figures. Golden Gaels' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Voyageurs maintains fourth position with 11-11 record. Golden Gaels lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 20 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
