Regular Season Round 32: Saskatchewan - Regina 110-70

Date: February 18, 2012
Not a big story in a game in Saskatoon, SK where 7th ranked Cougars (5-15) were rolled over by first ranked Huskies (16-4) 110-70 on Saturday. The game without a history. Huskies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Huskies shot 23 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Cougars only scored seven points from the stripe. Huskies forced 21 Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Duncan Jones (196) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Jamelle Barrett (180) who added 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Huskies players scored in double figures. Vule Grujic responded with 19 points and forward Paul Gareau (201) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huskies have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-4 record. Cougars lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
