Everything could happen in Hamilton, ON at the game between two tied teams. Both second ranked Marauders and one of their biggest challengers Golden Hawks had identical 16-5 record. This time Marauders used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Waterloo, ON 93-67 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Marauders. Golden Hawks was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Marauders dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Hawks' 40. They outrebounded Golden Hawks 49-35 including a 41-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Adam Presutti who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Aaron Redpath who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Marauders players scored in double figures. William Coulthard responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Kale Harrison (196) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Marauders (17-5) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position having just -5 point less than leader Lakehead. Golden Hawks lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
