Everything went according to plan in Thunder Bay, ON where first ranked Thunderwolves (21-2) outscored 6th ranked Gryphons (8-14) 88-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Thunderwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Gryphons' 36. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ryan Thomson (201-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Venzal Russel (188-87, college: Vermilion CC) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Guard Daniel McCarthy (188) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Aron Campbell scored 13 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunderwolves have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-2 record. Gryphons lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
