Regular Season Round 9: Toros - Marinos 87-98
Date: February 18, 2012

But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They held Toros to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. American forward Leon Rodgers (199-80, college: N.Illinois) nailed 19 points for the winning side and the former international swingman Oscar Torres (195-76, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 20 points. The former international forward Jesus Urbina (201-84, college: George Mason) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Delonte Holland (201-82, college: De Paul) added 16 points respectively for Toros in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marinos maintains second place with 8-1 record behind leader Cocodrilos. Toros lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Marinos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toros will play again at home against the league's second-placed Marinos (#2) in Puerto La Cruz to get more than just one victory in their record.
