Very important is a home loss of third ranked Niigata Albirex (17-16) against eighth ranked Oita Heat Devils (11-21) on Saturday night. Host Niigata Albirex was crushed by Oita Heat Devils in Niigata 87-60. The game was mostly controlled by Oita Heat Devils. Niigata Albirex managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Niigata Albirex to just 6 points in first quarter.
