Regular Season Round 7: Taiwan Beer - KKL 63-62

A very close game was the one between Taiwan Beer and KKL. Fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (7-7) got a very close victory over 6th ranked KKL (4-10). Taiwan Beer managed to escape with a 1-point win 63-62 on Saturday evening. KKL trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 26-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 62-63 at the end of the game. It was an exceptional evening for Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Chin-Min Yang (188-84) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Swingman Chi-Chao Hung (188-82) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Wei-Fang Shang (196-78) added 15 points respectively for KKL in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-7 record. Loser KKL keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KKL will play against Dacin Tigers (#3) and hope to secure a win.
