Regular Season Round 32: Nitra - Komarno 65-69

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Nitra (19-10) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Komarno (18-10) 69-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nitra. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-65. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Johnathon Jones (183-88, college: Oakland, agency: TSS Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Keller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (185-86, college: Kansas St., agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Australian forward Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Komarno have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-10 record behind leader Prievidza. Nitra at the other side dropped to the second place with ten games lost. Komarno are looking forward to face Handlova (#4) at home in the next round. Nitra will have a break next round.
