Basketettan top team - Malbas (18-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Solna Branten (6-11) 84-60. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Branten's 36. It was a good game for Kosovan power forward Korab Ferizi (201-85) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Daniel Johansson (197-95) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Anton Miller (180-91) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Solna Branten. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malbas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 18-1 record. Loser Solna Branten keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Malbas will face Hoganas (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
