Very important is a home loss of second ranked Challes-les-Eaux (15-5) against eleventh ranked Arras (8-12) on Saturday night. Host Challes-les-Eaux was defeated by Arras in a tough game in Challes 77-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Challes-les-Eaux. Challes-les-Eaux was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 49-40 second half run of Arras. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Challes-les-Eaux to just 7 points in third quarter. Russian Nadezhda Grishaeva (195-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Arras maintains eleventh position with 8-12 record. Challes-les-Eaux at the other side dropped to the third place with five games lost. Arras will play against Lyon (#13) at home in the next round. Challes-les-Eaux will play against Nice (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
