Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Ibiza (3-18) was outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Rivas Ecopolis (14-7) 77-51. The game without a history. Rivas Ecopolis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ibiza's 30. Rivas Ecopolis forced 25 Ibiza turnovers. It was a good game for Serbian forward Tijana Krivacevic (194-90) who led her team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). International point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Rivas Ecopolis players scored in double figures. Rivas Ecopolis had such big advantage that coach Miguel Mendez felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 11 players saving starting five for next games. Nigerian-American center Charity Szczechowiak (191-85, college: SF Austin) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Aina Denti (195-85) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ibiza. Rivas Ecopolis moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mann Filter. Ibiza lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will play against Real Celta Vigo (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ibiza will play against Mann Filter (#4) in Zaragoza and hopes to get back on the winning track.
