Regular Season Round 19: Dunkerque - Le Havre 72-65

Very expected game when 13th ranked Le Havre (5-14) lost on the road to eighth ranked Dunkerque (9-10) 72-65 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But Le Havre won second period 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American center Sabrina Scott (190-81, college: Colorado) accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Lalya Sidibe (178-91) came up with 13 points and naturalized American center Melissa Washington (195-85, college: Wake Forest, agency: Merit Sports) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Le Havre in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dunkerque maintains eighth place with 9-10 record. Le Havre lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Reims. Dunkerque will meet LTB 29 (#10) in the next round. Le Havre will play against Etoile de Voiron and hope to secure a win.
