Regular Season Round 14: Dinamo Tbilisi - Sokhumi 83-69

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#6) and Sokhumi (#4). Dinamo Tbilisi (6-7) won against visiting Sokhumi (8-5) 83-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sokhumi. Sokhumi was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Dinamo Tbilisi brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Keyon Carter (203-88, college: ODU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Duda Sanadze (196-92) contributed with 22 points for the winners. International guard Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and center Sergo Atuashvili (223-85, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Sokhumi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dinamo Tbilisi maintains sixth position with 6-7 record. Sokhumi at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with MIA Academy. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Samedicino-Academia.
