Regular Season Round 37: Takamatsu FA - Akita NH 67-90

Date: February 18, 2012
Very expected game when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (2-29) was rolled over at home by second ranked Akita Happinets (20-13) 90-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-67. Takamatsu FA was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Kittitian forward Kyle Swanston (201-86, college: JMU) fired 26 points for the winners. American forward E.J. Drayton (204-82, college: Charlotte, agency: Strategic Sports) chipped in 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Akita Happinets maintains second place with 20-13 record having six points less than leader Hamamatsu P., which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Takamatsu FA lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 29 games lost. Akita Happinets will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against the league's second-placed Akita Happinets (#2).
