Regular Season Round 29: Laurentian - Queen's 58-64

Date: February 18, 2012
No shocking result in a game in Greater Sudbury where fourth ranked Queen's (12-10) defeated 7th ranked Laurentian (4-18) 64-58 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-9. But Laurentian won second period 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Christine Wallace (183-89) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Sydney Kernahan (180) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Emma Decloe (183) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and guard Krysten Patrick (163) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Queen's maintains fourth place with 12-10 record. Loser Laurentian keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
