Regular Season Round 38: Okinawa GK - Yokohama BC 82-79

Sixth-ranked Yokohama BC (16-17) was very close to win a game against first ranked Okinawa GK (27-7) on Sunday. Okinawa GK managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Yokohama BC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Narito Namizato (175-89) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Okinawa GK maintains first position with 27-7 record. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the sixth place with 17 games lost. Okinawa GK are looking forward to face Iwate Big Bulls (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yokohama BC will play against Miyazaki Shining Suns (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
