The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Singleton's (3-12) home victory over bottom-ranked Oblate Dynamos (1-15) 44-40 on Sunday. Strangely Oblate Dynamos outrebounded Singleton 65-38 including a 32-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Danielle O'Leary who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Amy Waters chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tessa Solan (177-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 21 rebounds and Theresa Harrison added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Singleton maintains eighth place with 3-12 record. Oblate Dynamos lost their eleventh game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Liffey Celtics. Singleton will meet at home higher ranked Waterford Wildcats (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oblate Dynamos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Dublin to the arena Liffey Celtics.
