Tuscany Pistoia managed to secure a 5-point victory 85-80 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-80. American point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) nailed 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Fiorello Toppo (198-80) accounted for 9 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Leemire Goldwire (182-85, college: Charlotte, agency: Interperformances) came up with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) added 18 points respectively for Centrale Latte in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Centrale Latte's coach Sandro Dell Agnello rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to second place, which they share with Givova Scafati. Loser Centrale Latte keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Tuscany Pistoia will meet at home Fileni BPA (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Centrale Latte will play against Biancoblu BO in Bologna and hope to secure a win.
