Regular Season Round 18: Nassjo - Srbija 109-87

An interesting game for Nassjo (16-2) which hosted in Nassjo 4th ranked Srbija (11-7). Second ranked Nassjo had an easy win 109-87. The game was mostly controlled by Nassjo. Srbija was better in fourth quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Srbija's 42. They outrebounded Srbija 42-29 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nassjo players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Srbija's players. Naturalized Serbian power forward Srdjan Damjanovic (204-79) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Christoffer Sillen (177-85) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. Nassjo's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Kristoffer Gafor with 21 points and FYR Macedonian forward Todorce Petkovski (200-80) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Nassjo and four Srbija players scored in double figures. Nassjo have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South with 16-2 record having just three points less than leader Malbas. Srbija at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Nassjo will play against Hogsbo (#11) in Goteborg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Srbija will play at home against Brahe Basket (#5) in Huskvarna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
