Regular Season Round 38: Fukuoka Rizing - Chiba Jets 83-72

Very expected game when 8th ranked Chiba Jets (12-20) lost on the road to fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (22-12) 83-72. It looked good early as Chiba Jets took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fukuoka Rizing had a 26-13 second period charge getting the lead and Chiba Jets were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-83. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was power forward Jermaine Dearman (202-80, college: S.Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Guard Jamel Staten (198-83, college: Minnesota St.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and guard Maurice Hargrow (193-83, college: Minnesota) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Chiba Jets' coach Eric Gardow rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukuoka Rizing maintains fourth position with 22-12 record. Chiba Jets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 20 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Chiba Jets will play on the road against Shiga L-Stars (#5).
