Very important is a road loss of third ranked Bishop's (6-8) against fourth ranked Laval (6-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Bishop's were defeated by Laval in a tough game in Quebec City 54-58. Bishop's were ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Laval, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Marjorie Ferland (163-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points. Guard Melodie Laniel Dion (178-88) contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Laval's coach Linda Marquis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Annick Charles (168) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Gabrielle Chamberland (175) added 14 points in the effort for Bishop's. Laval moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Bishop's. Laval will play against league's second-placed Concordia in Montreal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bishop's will play on the road against the league's leader McGill in Montreal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
