National League top team - Hapoel Tel-Aviv (16-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (6-13) 86-55. It looked good early as Hapoel Kfar Saba took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Tel-Aviv had a 25-11 second period charge getting the lead and Hapoel Kfar Saba was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 55-86. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Kfar Saba's 28. Hapoel Tel-Aviv forced 19 Hapoel Kfar Saba turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a quality performance for guard Aviram Zelkovits (193-89) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. American Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Kfar Saba in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hapoel Tel-Aviv have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Hapoel Kfar Saba at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hapoel Y/M and Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play again at home against the league's leader Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
