Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Enel Brindisi (13-7) and Fileni BPA (9-10), which took place in Jesi. 4th placed Enel Brindisi lost to ninth ranked Fileni BPA in a road game 82-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Enel Brindisi. It looked good early as Enel Brindisi took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fileni BPA had a 26-12 second period charge getting the lead and Enel Brindisi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 82-92. Fileni BPA made 30-of-33 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game, while Enel Brindisi only scored nine points from the stripe. 26 personal fouls committed by Enel Brindisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Richard McConnell (182-89, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 25 points (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Fileni BPA's coach Stefano Cioppi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 20 points and American guard Jimmy Hunter (197-77, college: Life) added 21 points respectively. Five Fileni BPA and four Enel Brindisi players scored in double figures. Fileni BPA moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Morpho Basket. Enel Brindisi at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Fileni BPA's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Tuscany Pistoia on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enel Brindisi will play against S.Antimo in Sant'Antimo and be promoted back to the SerieA just one year after relegation.
