Regular Season Round 19: Hapoel Y/M - Ironi Nahariya 100-83

Bottom-ranked Hapoel Yokneam/Megido managed to get a sixth victory on Tuesday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Ironi Nahariya 100-83. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that Hapoel Yokneam/Megido is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 100-83. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Ironi Nahariya's 44 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Rahshon Turner (201-75, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Swingman Inam Eiram (194-88, agency: Avi Zilberman) helped adding 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hapoel Yokneam/Megido players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Oren Ben Hemo (190-79) responded with 22 points and 4 assists and American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido (6-13) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Hapoel K/S and Ironi Nahariya. Ironi Nahariya lost eighth consecutive game. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido is again looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ironi Nahariya (#14) at home in the next round. Ironi Nahariya will have a break next round.
