An interesting game for Njardvik (17-6) which hosted in Njardvik 3rd placed KR (12-10). Second ranked Njardvik managed to get a 7-point victory 78-71. KR was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 22-12 charge of Njardvik, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Njardvik outrebounded KR 47-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American Lele Hardy (178-88, college: Clemson, agency: Merit Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 23 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Her fellow American import guard Shanae Baker-Brice (168-87, college: Towson) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Njardvik's coach Sverrir Sverrisson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Margret Sturludottir (178-89, college: Elon) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Erica Prosser (170-89, college: Lehigh) added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals respectively for KR in the defeat. Njardvik maintains second place with 17-6 record having just two points less than leader Keflavik. KR lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Snaefell. Njardvik will meet Hamar (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KR will play against Snaefell (#4) in Stykkisholmur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
