An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Telge. First ranked Telge faced 3rd placed Solna Vikings. Host Telge (21-2) smashed guests from Solna (17-6) 86-49. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. The game without a history. Telge led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Solna Vikings to just 6 points in third quarter. Telge dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Vikings' 26. Telge forced 19 Solna Vikings turnovers and outrebounded them 45-25 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Solna Vikings' players. Forward Binta Drammeh (180-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American swingman LaTangela Atkinson (188-84, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 11 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Telge players scored in double figures. Solna Vikings' coach Jurgita Kausaite gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Telge have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place in Group 1 with 21-2 record. Loser Solna Vikings dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Telge will meet Mark Basket (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Solna Vikings will play against the league's second-placed Northland in Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
