An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked BC Nokia in a game in Aanekoski versus Aanekosken Huima (#8) 88-79. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-79. Aanekosken Huima had a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-80, college: Illinois St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and forward Marcel Liukko (195-92) supported him with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) by American forward Darren Townes (201-86, college: Hofstra) did not help to save the game for BC Nokia. Guard Timo Riihela (193-80) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Four Aanekosken Huima and five BC Nokia players scored in double figures. Aanekosken Huima (9-11) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Porvoon Tarmo. Loser BC Nokia keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Aanekosken Huima will meet league's leader Forssan Koripojat on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Nokia will play against Pyrinto II (#4) in Tampere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
