Very important is a road loss of second ranked Libertad Sunchales (17-8) against ninth ranked GECR Indalo (13-12) on Friday night. Visiting Libertad Sunchales was defeated by GECR Indalo in a tough game in Comodoro R. 68-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Libertad Sunchales. It looked good early as Libertad Sunchales took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then GECR Indalo had a 29-17 second period charge getting the lead and Libertad Sunchales was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-76. GECR Indalo dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad Sunchales' 32. American-Spanish forward Devin Davis (202-74, college: Miami, OH) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and guard Santiago Scala (186-91) accounted for 9 points. American center Robert Battle (204-81, college: Drexel, agency: Dream Team Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Joshua Pittman (197-76, college: NC-Asheville, agency: Dream Team Management) added 13 points respectively for Libertad Sunchales in the defeat. Five Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Quimsa. Libertad Sunchales at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. GECR Indalo will play against Quimsa (#8) in Santiado Estero in the next round. Libertad Sunchales will play on the road against Boca Juniors (#12) in Buenos Aires and hopes to get back on the winning track.
