Rather expected game in Reykjavik where bottom-ranked Valur (0-17) was defeated by ninth ranked Tindastoll (8-9) 74-61 on Friday. Tindastoll forced 22 Valur turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Valur's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tindastoll made 9 blocks. American guard Curtis Allen (193-86, college: ORU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international forward Throstur Johannsson (198-89) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Tindastoll's coach Bardur Eythorsson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
