We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Halifax, NS where 6th ranked Tigers (9-11) were defeated by seventh ranked Varsity Reds (7-13) 68-57 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Varsity Reds. Tigers was better in second period 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Varsity Reds forced 21 Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Alex Desroches (193) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Michael Fosu chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alexander Arthur (196) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Casey Fox (193) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Varsity Reds moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Brandon. Loser Tigers dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
