Regular Season Round 33: Bishop's - Laval 76-87

The biggest surprise of round 33 was guest Rouge et Or's (#4) road victory over Gaiters (#5) 87-76 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Rouge et Or. Gaiters managed to win second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Gaiters helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Bosnian forward Boris Hadzimuratovic (204-91, college: High School) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Swingman Etienne Labrecque (196-86, college: Quinnipiac) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jeremy Leonard-Smith (193) who recorded 20 points and guard Sean Monplaisir (188) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rouge et Or maintains fourth place with 5-11 record. Gaiters at the other side keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
