Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rubon (10-9) against fifth ranked SBK Osipovichi (7-12) on Friday night. Visiting Rubon was crushed by SBK Osipovichi in Osipovichi 91-71. Rubon was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 49-28 second half run of SBK Osipovichi. SBK Osipovichi had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (184-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Viachaslau Skidan (205-85) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Viktor Ovsepian (200-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and guard Maksim Dabravolski (197-91) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rubon. Five SBK Osipovichi and four Rubon players scored in double figures. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. SBK Osipovichi maintains fifth place with 7-12 record. Rubon at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
