The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Laval's (7-9) road loss to fourth ranked Bishop's (7-9) in Sherbrooke 42-62 on Friday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Bishop's dominated on the defensive end, holding Laval to just 7 points in second and fourth quarters. Bishop's forced 25 Laval turnovers. It was a good game for guard Gabrielle Chamberland (175) who led her team to a victory with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jessica Roy (173) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Sandrine Ducruc (183-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Elyse Jobin (180-90) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Laval. Laval's coach Linda Marquis gave the chance to play for twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Bishop's moved-up to third place, which they share with UQAM and Laval. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
