Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Virtus Cagliari (9-10) was outscored on the road by second ranked Vigarano (16-3) 85-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vigarano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Virtus Cagliari to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. Vigarano dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Virtus Cagliari's 38. Vigarano forced 23 Virtus Cagliari turnovers and outrebounded them 50-25 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Polish forward Magdalena Losi (173-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Center Gloria Vian (190-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Vigarano players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vigarano have a solid three-game winning streak.
