The game in Levice was also quite interesting. Third ranked Komarno (20-10) played at the court of 7th ranked Levice (13-18). Komarno managed to secure a 9-point victory 62-53 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Levice won third quarter 17-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Komarno won last quarter 18-11. American forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Hungarian guard Peter Szabo (183-89) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Keller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Kevin Bridgewaters (175-84, college: Chattanooga) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and British center Michael Bernard (205-78, college: S.Florida) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Komarno have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nitra. Newly promoted Levice keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Komarno will meet at home Nova Ves (#5) in the next round. Levice will have a break next round.
