There was a small surprise when fifth ranked WKK Obiekty (14-7) edged second-best BM Wegiel Stal (15-6) in Wroclaw 57-56 on Saturday. BM Wegiel Stal was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 13-7 charge of WKK Obiekty, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BM Wegiel Stal to just 7 points in fourth quarter. WKK Obiekty forced 22 BM Wegiel Stal turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when WKK Obiekty made 10 blocks. It was a good game for international forward Piotr Niedzwiedzki (209-93) who saved his team from a defeat with 14 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Jakub Koelner (182-93) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.
