No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Shimane Magic (20-15) beat at home 8th ranked Oita Heat Devils (11-23) 98-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Oita Heat Devils was better in fourth quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Oita Heat Devils' 48 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) added 23 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Oita Heat Devils. Shimane Magic have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 20-15 record. Loser Oita Heat Devils keep the eighth position with 23 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Oita Heat Devils (#8) at home in the next round.
